But after buying the same exact model VW as my first VW is really fucking cool to me. Sure it's the high end model that I ALWAYS wanted when I was in college, my mom knew damn well that if she got me a V6 I would end up dead or in jail so I understand where she was coming from.

It's just a little strange... all the odd memories I have of the first car that really got me interested into cars is all coming back to me. The little buttons are exactly where they were 7 years ago. All the little idiosynchrisies are still there, the same smell is still there etc etc.

I dunno, it just makes me smile a bit. I think this project is going to be special. And to top it all off, I get to share it with a GF who actually gives a poop about cars.

Oh, that and I had the best day in many moons with kate. But no details about that because that's my own memory to keep =)
