Ahh, the Wilhelm
A single scream, recorded for the 1951 film "Distant Drums," has made its way into dozens of films, games and TV shows. Afficianados call it the "Wilhelm Scream" and have cataloged many of the films in which it appeared, from Hercules to Pirates of the Caribbean, The X-Files to the short "Golden Dreams" film at Disney California Adventure.

Holy crap, I knew just the scream you were talking about before I even clicked play. Hahahaha, too funny. When I watched Kill Bill, I tried expaining to my girlfriend that I'd heard that scream in no less than 100 movies, and she looked at me like I was on drugs. I thought it had originated in some kung-fu movie from the 60's or 70's....I didn't realize it came from so far back!
HAHA, I love Wilhelm.
hahaha now I want to watch all those movies [ok the ones I've already seen before] and listen for the screams. whee!
