Honestly, you can't tell me that the rags you put on this morning make you feel like a rebel. I can buy your "personality" at the mall for $29.95 if I was so inclined. I remember when I went to my first party (we called them Raves back in the day) in 93 and I wore a white t-shirt, a pear of green Guess shorts and some Adidas trainers and no one was the wiser. I remember when no one knew what JNCO's were.
I'm not trying to step up on a soapbox here but I just kind of find it funny that for a generation of fucked up kids who are striving to be different, all go to the same store to shop en mass buying the same clothes and listen to the same music and try to "keep it real" the same way. I was drunk once in Georgetown and a little punkrock bastard walked by me with a Misfits patch on and I asked him who the lead singer of his patch was and he flicked me off, said "Fuck you man, I don't know" and triumphantly walked away dragging his 40" diameter jeanlegs with him.
WTF? I follow trends just like the next guy but I am honestly waiting for this whole goth/my-upperclass-white-parents-treat-me-like-shit/avril-sucks-but-I'll-dress-like-her-anyways fad just goes away.
At least candy ravers were colorful and gave away free blowpops and backrubs instead of middle fingers and indifference.
p.s. Posted some pics up of my crews trip to Waterfest in Jersey

p.p.s. Your blog is gayer than my blog, mine takes more drugs than a touring funk band.
